It has been a while
I have been a bit busy and a lot lazy this week so I will just summarize my activites in the last four days. Tuesday: Asscrackofdawn- went to the diner. Their grill was broken- alas no country omlettes for Jessy and Alex. :( Got by on softboiled eggs and toast. Went to the bank and wired a Fuckload of money to St. Peter's College, Oxford. Went home, got my mail (Malkavian Clan Book!) and watched bad 80's movies - Pricilla Queen of the Desert (a bad drag movie w/David Bowie) and The Sure Thing (a teeniebopper girl next door love story with a Very young John Cusack). I also watched Aladdin again for the 8 millionth time and recited the entire thing to my dog who looked at me with pity and disdain. Why is it that some movies just implant their scripts into your brain and so even if you haven't seen the movie in ages you can still recite it word for word. At this point, I can recite that movie cold. I went to walmart- the place where you can buy lots of cheap stuff in the same place for not really that cheap. While there I got a phone call from Shannon. Eventually I made it to her place where she introduced me to the wonders and perils of anime. Utena to be specific, and she sent me home at 1am with 5 dvds worth of episodes. I proceded to watch them throughout the next several days interspersed with reading shiny insanity in the nifty gaming book that I got in the mail. So really nothing has happened in the last few days so there was no reason to post but as I had been getting annoyed messages, I relented and did so. Now leave me in peace so I can rewatch all of this fun and nifty anime!

Bah! I am such a geek! First, Trek (from the cradle), then, sf/f novels (as soon as I could use a library card), X-Files (from the very first episode onward), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (from the third episode to the bitter bloody end), then marching band (when being a band groupie just wasn't enough), writing tutors (because we somehow became a network of ordered insanity), techie stuff (which helps me survive being a writing tutor and really stemmed from the birth of Theseus my faithful and noble laptop), blogging(because it was the next logical step), gaming (when being a gaming groupie just wasn't enough), and now bloody freakin Anime! I am swiftly losing the functions of my geek immune system. It has grown so easy to become infected... I suspect a conspiracy...
