Damn School Trips

We had a hundred 2nd graders in the store today. They actually weren't really that bad, although a lot of them didn't understand the concept of sales tax. I don't really blame them. If something says $250, then it should cost two dollars and fifty cents and no more. They did not recycle however. My father is the recycle nazi. He is absolutely obsessive. He made the head teacher of the school group sort the trash and pick out all the bottles and cans. The funny part is that they always listen to him.

The Matrix Reloaded or Jessy is Angry

Josh and I just went to see the Matrix Reloaded. I want to hurt something. I will not give anything away, but I will say that I am eternally frustrated by cliffhangers and that if what I think will happen does happen my brother owes me money. Why is it that writers of movies and books create cliffhangers that can go any way and then wait until I have nearly forgotten my theories on what will happen next before they actually tell me? I know, I know. It sells books and movie tickets but I don't really want to care about that. My problem is I have a sufficiently active imagination that I come up with alternate endings when left to my own devices like this and then get angry at the writers when the do tell me what actually "happens" because it was not as interesting as the "Er ending" that I had created for myself. Bah! I give up; I am making myself more frustrated because all of my favorite authors are between books right now. The pile of unread books has dwindled to almost nothing and while I just was in the bookstore today, I mostly just played the "have it" game with Josh. (We discovered that between us we own most of the inventory of our local Waldenbooks.) I did pick up a couple of interesting looking Gaming books that were on the clearance rack. While I am not a gamer, I have numerous friends that are and I like to be able to follow our conversations. The mall trip was not entirely fruitless as I also purchased a new keypad for my cellphone because I had worn out the old one.

For those of you who are interested, the fawn is doing well and we still don't know what gender it is yet.
